Why do these people think everyone has to like them anyway? Not everyone likes me and I'm okay with that. I would definitely never want to force someone to like me

a video of an incoming freshman student saying on camera “I hate n******”. Which is not freedom of speech but is in fact hate speech.

This would be a kid that graduated from West Monroe HS. It received a good bit of attention all over. My daughter showed me some actress from the show “That’s So Raven” that put it on her instagram page. To this day I still can’t figure how these kids don’t have that little voice that tells them,”I probably don’t need to do this”

posted a petition "LSU professors to give us the option to automatically pass our classes due to COVID-19."

I'm laughing but I can almost guarantee that this actually happened in some part of this country at all levels of education. Holy shite.

But if any Division 1 NCAA athlete wants to sit out, for any reason, do it. DO IT. Then I don't want to hear a word when the NFL, NBA, MLB doesn't come knocking wanting to pay you millions to play a game. Y'all want to talk about privelege. Go ahead throw all that privilege away. fricking privelege. I'm so sick of this shite.

It wasn’t a “tipping point”

It was blatant media manipulation just like every one of these cases seems to be.

No one was supporting the cops. They were arrested. But then you have these rioters and looters attacking and killing innocent people and they have the audacity to hide behind black lives matter while the lynch mob forces anyone with a nuanced opinion to bow down?

It’s horse shite.

Hate speech is protected by the first amendment as long as it doesn’t call for violence. “I don’t like [insert race]”is protected.

Hopefully, you see the hypocrisy in this?

Guessing you haven’t seen the nutrition center, 30 million dollar locker room and meeting facility, along with indoor practice facility and all the other buildings dedicated to athletes.

That’s your response to to the idea that the athletes should not have to deal with racism?

This kid is going about this the wrong way. Instead of trying to convince the star black athletes to sit out at LSU why not sign with a HBCU and encourage them to follow. The programs would become top tier because the talent would now be top tier. Its time for the black youth to get off of this equality kick and start being realistic.

Jesus.

Take away his nearly all white offensive line that have had some of the best O-lines for the past 15 years. Then see who has the "lions share" of production.

See how this works while talking about a team sport?

Exactly what are black athletes not getting that the white athletes are?

From what I see, it should be the regular students protesting about what all the athletes get and they don't

Me: Acknowledge that you’ve been privileged being a White person

Tigerdroppings: I grew up with 2 parents, in a safe white neighborhood. My parents spent $200k on tuition between St Christopher and then Jesuit high school and then attended law school Where I’m now a lawyer, raising kids with my wife in a safe, white neighborhood sending them to great schools. I don’t have white privilege what are you talking about my dad worked 2 jobs

The universities have done this to themselves by even entertaining this bullshite. It started a few years ago when students would go in the presidents office and yell until he resigned.

They should have ended dumb shite like that immediately to send a message.

Stop fricking coddling these kids. That’s the problem.

How can LSU take racism seriously? That’s such a vague demand

But don’t you dare lump the 10’s of 1,000’s of protestors with the 1,000’s of rioters

Economic privilege is all part of it.

Blacks are last in everything. Wealth, education, incarceration, health, you name it.

But you just want to sit there & make jokes about it or use it against them in an argument, never critically thinking why that is.

Do you think it’s just coincidental?

I’ve thought a lot about it. It’s mostly cultural. If it were racial, you wouldn’t have the level of success we see from black immigrants.

But to put it in terms of privilege, you are making it a zero sum game and worrying more about why one set of people are successful, instead of why another set of people are not.

I don’t know a lot of black people who did things “right” that are not successful. I also don’t know a lot of white people who did things “wrong” and are successful.

It’s about the individual.
