I’ve thought a lot about it. It’s mostly cultural.

Ok, let’s keep going.

At what point in the cycle did it become cultural, and why??

Only in 2020 do we feel like we need to protect people from words.

Show me racism at LSU that doesn’t involve some drunk kid tweeting the N word. Everybody is so sensitive.

I get your point, but I'm unsure what you actually want. LSU legally can do nothing to that kid. They explained it clearly in their statement and people still said "wow LSU just hates black people then." Would it be noble and brave of them to take a stand by rescinding his admission, getting sued into oblivion, and still having to admit the kid?

Student posted a petition

Please excuse my elder privilege, but exactly why should I take a college student Who had a thought seriously?

Economic privilege is all part of it. Blacks are last in everything. Wealth, education, incarceration, health, you name it.

Your problem is that you are judging everything by outcomes and you think that says something about “the system”

Why are Asians first in everything? Using your logic they are the super secret racists that designed “the system”

LSU really probably should do the right thing and revoke admission to this kid, They are bound by the first amendment but there is a ton of verbiage in the student handbook regarding character, using hateful language, etc.

Odds are if this kid came here, he's going to be majorly targeted. By other students and even professors.

The right move is to pull the admission.

Note to teenagers....DO NOT PUT DUMB shite ON SOCIAL MEDIA

If this were my kid, I’d make him sit out a year and then go to LA Tech or something. In the current environment, I’d be concerned about his well being and ability to react maturely when a tough situation presented itself.
