Stub Hub / Ticketmaster rip off

A couple of weeks ago I bought tickets to a sporting event and was directed to Stub Hub. After selecting my tickets, I was offered a parking pass for $29. I selected it but when on the payment page it added $16 in fees, making the price $45. I thought that a recent law required the total price to be listed versus adding fees at checkout. I went ahead and paid the revised total but wasn’t happy about it. What made it worse was when I arrived you could pay $20 at the entrance to the same parking area.
Today I decided to go to a small college baseball game for fun. Tickets were $39 on Stub Hub. I showed up planning to pay at the gate and it turns out there are no tickets to be collected. The games are free.

Just a FYI, on ticket seller "SeatGeek" if you're buying, there is an option that will show the price for buying tickets to include all fees.
What you see is what you pay.

This should be illegal.

I don't know if they're missing out on money because of this, but there have been events that I wanted to go to but skipped on just because of the constant fees. Priced me out.

Just wait until you find out that the buyer also pays a fee. Secondary ticket markets have to make a killing by doing little more than a system processing transactions.

Happened to us at cws in Omaha. Paid for a parking pass just to get to the lot and find out 3rd party tickets were not accepted and parking was way less than we paid. Got a refund from stub hub though.

frick Stubhub. I deleted my account with them after they deliberately ripped me off on a NASCAR ticket package last year.
The listing category was clearly "Talladega Two-day Package." When I bought the tickets, I only received one set for Saturday's events and nothing for the Sunday race. Customer service was about as helpful as a wet fart. They basically told me tough shite, we won't do anything, but you could always try to resell them! (with their tacked on seller fees). I told the customer service rep right then and there that I was going to obliterate my account and never use their shite platform again.
I disputed the charge with Capital One and actually won the case.

I'm pretty sure all sites have this. Some you may have to click a slider or something, but I haven't seen a ticket resale website in YEARS that didn't have some way to see an "all-in" price
