Yet we have gambling and you can pretty much drink at bars as a teen here.

We also have strip clubs.

It's starting to make sense why Virginia is aiming to pass their version of this law alongside school districts banning The Handmaid's Tale. Don't need those citizens seeing how the sausage is planning to be made....

That would make too much sense and bring in too many moderate votes. Can't have that. Have to pander to religion and morality instead. The fact is that we are stuck with two shitty parties. The system is broken for the 60% of us that just want to exist in the middle.

Just seems LA has a lot bigger problems they should be tackling like poor infrastructure and extremely high crime rates but I’m not surprised that’s being ignored.

The R's don't want to actually fix it because they want to blame poor infrastructure and crime on D's so that they get more R votes and further their religious-based legislation.

Drugs and porn are not freedom. They are the favored tools of those who oppose freedom so you don't notice the taxation, loss of representation, loss of speech and religion, loss of free movement and association, etc.

You could give porn and drugs to prisoners to placate them and stop revolts. They would not be free

Except in this scenario you show the ID to the clerk, who scans it for accuracy and gives it back.

In the current scenario, the website takes your personal data, verifies with a state-commissioned organization that houses that info in a data warehouse(and we all know there is no prescedant with contractors with access to sensitive citizen data to get hacked or abuse it), the website attaches cookies to your profile, which creates long-term browser footprints(browse only in incognito? Cool, congrats, every time you visit a website you have to re-verify and that creates a pretty direct chain of personal activity for the state to compile). And at any time Louisiana could pass or amend(or just corruptly abuse) the law to start using that data and history to do, well, whatever the frick they wanted. For instance maybe someone with the temperament of some of our despotic morality police cheerleaders get in power and decide all porn is bad and want to use that collected data to prosecute moral offenders of decency.

Secondarily, it's pretty easy to conceive of nefarious pop up phishing prompts that try and get a user(likely of the older, less tech-savvy variety) to simply give them their data, which they just use to steal your identity.

Yes, I know. Kind of the point I'm making. Not sure why i'm getting downvoted. As the rest of my post states, the logistics of trying to do this online is an absolutely absurd concept.

Yeah, with all the problems Louisiana has you would think they would have more to do than track porn watchers online. It’s such a violation of freedom I’m surprised there isn’t a bigger outcry from people.

Can you point to the part of the bible that says you shouldn't consume THC, but alcohol and litlte debbie snack cakes are okay?

When you look at what Democrats do and are baffled as to how they are so popular and have been able to capture so many institutions, look to yourself. You gave it to them by being even dumber.

Lol. Louisiana is objectively a shite tier state and has nearly all of the same problems and bullshite you get in leftist hellholes like California but without any of the benefits like a good diverse economy.

We are fiscally liberal and socially conservative. The worst of each party. It never changes either no matter if it's a D or R in office

Just use a VPN. It's that simple. And if you're a regular pot smoker, this law won;t change what you do. And if you don't smoke pot this doesn't effect you. Just a bunch of nothingness from the state as usual
