HOA be damned, I'm having any pine tree that can reach my house taken down. I had 20 taken down after Katrina, but these current ones have grown 20-30 feet since then it seems.

Pine trees are for lumber, not beauty imo.

Man, that looks terrible. I hope everyone is okay. I did hear on the news this morning of one confirmed death so far.

Either every one is finally getting some much needed sleep or they have AT&T cellular.

Ma’bell strikes again.

Verizon: the antidote to ATT’s deathly silence.

Hope all are well.

Power is now being supplied internally at Chez Füt.

I keep procrastinating on the whole house generator…,

BR here. No power and lots of sticks down. No trees that I can see.

Waiting for daylight to assess damage. Not a lot of rain overall.

Jefferson parish under boil water advisory, toilets aren't flushing, assuming the lift stations have been without power for 12 plus hours...sub optimal

I wonder how AT&T’s First Net is working.

They make you pay extra for it and only sell it certain people.

Few and far between. I see the same 4-5 clips of damages being posted over and over again. Mostly roof damage, street flooding, and downed oaks. Haven't seen any heavily damaged houses that weren't on their last leg before the storm hit. This AM could be a different story with the flooding rise.

I really haven't seen much out of N.O. besides the reporters downtown and my friends posting from isolated spots in LGD, Uptown, Midcity, and Lakeview

What are some good local charities to donate to to help with the relief effort? Thanks.

It should be daylight soon and the radar shows clear sky's down there. Good luck everyone and let us know how your generators worked out.

Anyone know what's happened with AT&T in BR? That's 2 natural disasters in a row that AT&T completely and thoroughly fails the area. Might have to switch to VZW.

Their first big launch was in CA. I have a buddy who works for PLUMAS CO SO where the Dixie fire was located. He said they had all kinds of issues with it.

Made the switch to Verzion after 2016 floods. We pay more but it’s reliable in disasters like the one we are going through now.

If the Buc-cee’s in Baytown at 5am this morning is any indication, the reinforcements are coming baws. Utility trucks and tree clearing equipment was everywhere.
