Otherwise, given the record warmth of the waters near Louisiana and East Texas, this could easily explode to a high level M-4 like Laura.
Bro..... I still have a tree from Laura through my house. Just quit.... Time for other folks other than sabine pass to get to enjoy a fricking hurricane!

Thank you. Appreciate that. How Far East is far enough to be safe? Gulf Port?

Some guy yesterday had the best meteorologists in the world that haven't missed a storm in decades saying a Cat 4 right up the a-hole of Lake Charles
Wish my job would let me guess and be wrong as much as meteorologist
That was me. They missed this one as far as track. Not sure on the intensity yet. I'm not sure the updated track is any better. Better for Lake Charles for sure though.
So, glad they were wrong for Lake Charles's sake.

Is it just me or don't these hurricanes always seem to hit a little bit father east of what is projected?
It all depends. Last year Laura and Delta both went west.
Delta actually went East in the last 12 hours.

A B it touchy today huh??????
So sometimes people find it funny when you have an outsized reaction to a slight.
On an internet forum, use of a "frick you" gif is a solid way to do that.
Basic comedy stuff Peej.

Models are pretty much nailed in on this one now that we have a center.
Well, I hope that no one sees a Cat 4
Been there done that and only wish that kind of Evil on the current Democratic leadership

It won't stay a cat 1. It'll travel over the hottest, deepest waters in the Gulf, including the dreaded Loop Current. This thing is well on its way to becoming a fearsome cyclonic leviathan. Contemplate a 30-mile-wide EF-3 tornado at landfall!
