I live in the area and we haven't had cell service for a couple hours now. I just cranked the generator and hooked up my data cabinet.
It may just be that she doesn't have service, because we still don't.
If you want to shoot me her address, I will go check on her as soon as I can.

Can somebody give me a run down on where we are? Been trying to get caught up on the latest after being out of touch for a few hours.

I know all of New Orleans is out of power with Entergys issues. Any levee issues popping up? Have we avoided catastrophic issues to this point? (Around SELA, not specifically New Orleans)

We need CETiger to chime in, pretty sure figuring this out might be part of his actual job

Seriously, you can do this. You will get through it! There is no greater community and care for one another than LA people. I’ve never seen anything like it. Good luck and know we are rooting for y’all and ready to help.

Surrounding with concrete protection barriers would not have been that expensive since the towers were not in the river, just the floodplain. As usual, some dumbasses cut corners to save a few bucks and gambled that it was low risk that a strike probably wouldn't happen until years later when they wouldn't be held accountable.

Now this sounds like Entergy

Yes, brother in law works for the city. I think they had some 50 mph gusts so largely spared.

Yeah it wasn't bad in Morgan City. Glad I didn't kill that guys Grandma when he asked this morning if he should go get her stubborn behind out and I said no and it wasn't going to be that bad.

We are getting smoked here in Denham Springs. Seems like another 3-4 hours of shite before we are in the clear. Prayers to all in the path.

Man you’re all alive and well and that’s all that matters. A lot of us have been there after Katrina. You’re not alone. You will be all right. You will get by.

Thanks Shawn. I’m in the area too, so we’ll check as soon as possible. We still have service so weren’t sure why she hasn’t been responding. Might just be out for that part of the parish.
