Don’t forget about Dwayne Bryant from DeLa Salle in Nola. He started over 100 games for Georgetown in the late 80s. He was a PG, so who knows if Chris Jackson would have passed on LSU if Bryant was there.

Thanks, I fixed it.

Despite the billions of applications and job postings these days, it's still who you know as it always has been. People sending out hundreds of apps are wasting their time. Probably 5% of those submissions ever get seen by a human.

Agree. I’ve hired dozens of successful people through word of mouth. I get better results than mass postings.

are you a turtle vernas

Yep, it was on the westbank. I remember the sign, but I'm struggling to remember the exact location since that was 40 years ago. I think in Old Gretna.

There’s money to be made in the right insurance. I know claims adjusters making bank. Not shifty work. Just handling claims that come to them. And it’s remote work, mostly. On the other end a broker can make bank. Not a bad industry get into if in the right position. Issue is folks don’t want to start out and “pay their dues” to move on up.

Yep. We are a work from office company though, with 1 day WFH once trained. We make the office environment fun. We have essentially a game room with a couple video games, putting green, shuffle board, plus free snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine.

I'd love to hire 1-2 entry level people who want to put in effort. If you know of anyone, have them send a resume to jaws zero four one six at gmail.com

Let me guess, you provide free non paid training, and they must get certified at their own expense.

Our employees are fully compensated from day 1 and we pay all expenses associated with training and certifications. Everyone is eligible for benefits day 1. We don't treat people like commodities. We believe our people are our best resource.

I work for one of the best companies in the US and our parent company is one of the finest and most respected organizations in the world.

My department doesn't do sales, we're on the service side, worker's compensation claims to be specific (and also why it's required by law). Our entry level salary is 60k. I only take credit for giving people the opportunity, they achieve success through hard work. Several people I have hired are now leaders both in my department and in other roles.

Insurance is a scam these days.

I'm not on the sales side.

Our business is commercial and it's required by law.

On the personal side - Overall, it sucks paying premiums, but then it's there when you need it. Thankfully we had full coverage when Ida damaged 1/3 of my house. Thankfully we had it when my wife's car got totaled through no fault of her own and we're having to fight the responsible party in court.
I don’t know of anyone in the NOLA area that is struggling to find work. Most of my sons’ friends in the 25-30 year old range have good jobs and seem to be happy.

We’re looking for 1-2 people who want to work hard and build a career in insurance, but at least through word of mouth, it’s hard to find talent. We’ve hired a bunch of successful people that way over my career. Not sure what’s changing.

My company is willing to help with recruiting, but I don’t want to open the flood gates and have to sift through tons of resumes.
For me, it’s Van Halen, there are others for sure, but VH is #1. And, it doesn’t matter if it was DLR or Sammy.
Fournette. Watched him in HS against my and my kids school 5x. As a Junior, we played Aug in the last game of the season and the first game of the playoffs, so back to back weeks. He mostly did what he wanted in the Catholic league.
Big omelette from Ruby Slipper with grits and a biscuit
I guess Caddy Daddy is the main company.

Looking at the Revcore Lux hybrid stand bag. Any info is welcome. I did watch some YouTube videos, but those folks get compensated

Man I worry for his safety on that float. I dont trust anyone bc this World is insane right now. I rather him not do this honestly. I can see pissed off Ole Miss fans throwing shite at him

I agree. Thank goodness Endymion is on the mid city route and not uptown where many Ole Miss families are. Uptowners don’t like to leave home for parades.

I hope he has a state police escort.
I've never watched a Bond movie, nor has my wife. My wife wanted to know if we needed to start with the first one. I assume the character doesn't build so there's no particular order to watch them in.

What would you recommend we start with?

Value is down, which is good for any team willing to invest. If Lane wants him, I’m on board.

They’re not?

OSU Uga Texas Oregon All their fans say, “our guy wins three easy…..well that’s 12 championships right there.”

Oregon? They have a good team, and they have been top 10ish for the last 15 years, but call me when they win one. It’s not going to be this year.
People complained when Fournette was one of the first opt-outs, called him selfish and bad for CFB. Now, we have athletic directors forcing whole teams to opt out. I'd be pissed if I was a player, unlikely to play next level, and missing out on one final game.
There are companies that will go pack up your house and bring it to the new one. He probably already had packed up the personal items he doesn’t want being handled.

re: If I was in charge at Bama…

This is the same as him returning to college after the Dolphins. He wanted LSU, but that job wasn’t open. He can just say, I’d like for lane to go to Bama, but that job is filled.
