Based on what I'm hearing from family and friends all of Lafourche and Terrebonne are fricked

And yes I am locked and loaded
In all seriousness, if that's true, you really need to look for another place.

What the frick are you talking about? I’m saying I don’t give a shite about a random old building bc it’s connected to Louis Armstrong. I’m more concerned with living people in and around the area who are losing everything.
Chill the frick out
You oughta check yourself, dickhead. The guy copied and pasted a tweet (not even his own words) reporting that a historically significant building was destroyed. How in the everliving shite did you interpret that as a shot at residents going through the storm right now?

Winds really picking up in LP now. I have a feeling parts of my fence will be down.

They blow money on shite like this because their “profit” is capped by the PSC (which our PSC, Eric Skrmetta might actually be the most corrupt politician we have). What they should be doing is lowering their fricking prices instead

I would guess most of New Orleans will be with out power for 2 weeks or so
Best case scenario. Lake Charles was out 3-4 weeks if I remember correctly and outlying areas even longer after Laura

The eye is slowing filling in on radar. It has gotten very small now.

Yeah... im getting a bit worried now. My parents refused to evacuate because I am essential.... not only did our director tell us that we aren't on the clock continuously but now i can't get in contact with my parents... and me and the other workers are trapped in our yard and its being torn apart....

You may be wrong
Maybe, but there's nothing at this point that would suggest a "turn" to BR.

The ones I talked about last night that stayed have extensive damage to their homes, roofs completely gone, water rushing in, etc. This is a nightmare.

Not too bad. Lots of heavy winds but our only damage has been our fence blown down. Water in our street but no where near our house. Cell service sucks which is to be expected.

I’m not breaking but I’d love to get my window unit up and running if I could for tonight. I was prepared and have my generator ready to go. Rare that these storms just sit on top for several hours though and not just move through. I think anyone would like to get their house up and running as soon as they could.

Fair enough. I have actually never seen it in print. Only heard them say it.

Assumption isn’t doing bad, especially relative to expectations 36 hours ago. Solid bands rolling through. I guess it has another 60-120 mins of pain.

Good. But I feel terrible for anyone getting this shite. I wish this thing would just die already so we can get our lives and property back together.
