The state was woefully unprepared for this storm and assumed it would do exactly as the track said.

Clearly they were distracted by covid.

Every press conference they say part of evacuating is getting vaccinated

Most of Kenner has been without power for hours, and the top right quadrant of the storm looks like it's turning their way. Not good.

They're individual storm tracks, and practically useless in a hurricane.

Aren’t most flights canceled as of last night?

Yes but I heard some people were already at the airport and got stranded. Guessing connecting flights or something

Pretty much the whole greater New Orleans area is in bad shape.

So much for "no big swings" that I was told yesterday afternoon. This pos looks to be heading basically north. That's a big fixking swing from west of the river at Baton Rouge to barely west of Hammond.

Saw some videos from Fourchon. My in laws camp is probably totally gone. They’re massive offshore fisherman so I’m sure if that’s the case they’re going to be devastated. They went down Thursday and got the boat out of the water when they thought Fourchon might be ok. Then had to go back again Friday and thank god they did. It’s a brand new custom boat my FIL basically saved up his whole life for and finally got done.

Bruce Katz on Fox 8 basically saying the longer it stalls the better chance it will have of not only turning north but maybe even NE.

Exactly...I think that's why it is slowing down. Slowing as it changes direction.
