I’ll be there in like 30 minutes so long as I don’t get blown off the Cleary overpass

Meh, not impressed so far. The winds aren't as bad as advertised. *In Houma

Anyone else hearing rumors that Thibodaux Regional’s backup generators failed once power was lost? Have a family member in Thib med industry claiming this. Hopefully false.

Happened to us at Touro during Katrina… someone brought in bad diesel, 3 out of 5 generators failed. We moved all of our vents to the ER which still had power…

Hopefully false .. brother was at Memorial in LC during Laura .. htey lost power and water adn generators I think held but then something happened.

Praying that this isn't a Katrina like hospital situation. My nursing home got 27 from a Nexion facility in THib .. not sure which one.

Houma, absolutely. If you are in Baton Rouge it is absolutely safe enough still to get out to get your vaccine.

No, but it will be so much worse if it doesn't turn, which it looks like it's doing.

Perhaps enough to avoid Morgan City with the worst, but not Houma, Lockport, Thibodaux, Convent, or Baton Rouge.

That's pretty piss poor of that guy to say, since the trace that he shows misses BR by at least 15 miles, placing the eastern eye wall on Walker, and giving BTR the western wall (If an eye still really exists at that point).

That second video peeking around the AC unit looks like an endless nuclear bomb going off outside, holy shite no way I would've stayed for that.

I don't know how any structure survives that, especially when you see the waves slamming into the place next door with such force

Supposedly retrieved and now tied back at the dock.

Be really careful on the radar. That inner eye is dancing around a little bit too and it can skew the motion.

It appears to still be moving NW, watching the outer eyewall slowly expand NW, but it's slamming on the brakes.

Here's the actual plot. As I keep tracing the inner edge of the outer eyewall, the pink circles have gotten smaller and smaller.

Perhaps enough to avoid Morgan City with the worst, but not Houma, Lockport, Thibodaux, Convent, or Baton Rouge.
