Just eyeballing radarScope, Houma will take the NW to SE eyewall. NW being about ~45 min away from Houma proper. Reed is in the outer core atm and things are getting sketchy.

Ugh

Is the outlook better for Baton Rouge now? BR was supposed to get the eye. Are they still or are they getting the eye wall? Any time projections on when all this happens

How is Metairie looking? When will the meat of the storm make it there? Watching house cameras and still have power even though wind is whipping.

That’s what happens when you leave a giant dead tree next to your house I guess

Am I crazy or am I now seeing all that storm surge on the Grand Isle Severe Studios getting blown out? Or is it just going in a different direction?

Not crazy the Hurricane is NW of GI which means it should in theory be doing that

It looks more likely at this point that we are going to be west of the eye. With that said, the storm wouldn't have to shift much to cause us problems. Further, depending on how well developed the eye is at that point, if we are on the western eye wall, that's no fun.

Mildly better. Instead of direct eye, we'll probably get the western eye wall. Most likely passing over BR area around 1AM.
