They say it’s bad in the gulf now. I saw a report of 30 foot seas.
Think of it this way. On the show deadliest catch, those big waves you see that the captain yells hang on about , those are about 30 footers .
So if seas are 30 foot then that means the norm is those size waves. That means the bigger waves may be 45 feet or more in the gulf right now

Anyway to know what traffic looks like going from Kenner to Pensacola? Trying to decide if it’s too late to leave or not.
It’s too late to be going east

Did I make a good decision leaving St Bernard at the last minute last night? Or should I have stayed?

This is a worst case scenario for the West Bank. NW track, just west of the mouth of the MR. Cat 4-5 pushing water toward Lafitte in the NE eyewall. Going to need a boat to travel Lapalco Blvd tomorrow.
Yup, Belle Chasse and Harvey Tunnels are fricked

Not good too say the least.
How much stronger is this going to get? Every hour is another 5mph jump.

Mock His Peejness at your own risk . I did it after a thunderstorm back in 2017 and a swarm of angry grasshoppers descended on my home within hours.

Cat 5 about to go pretty close to New Orleans.
Latoya: “No evac required”
Even without it being a direct hit that’s what too close for a Cat 5 to be so nonchalant about it. This is the kind of storms they’ve made worst case scenario models for for the last 100 years.

If they’re saying Cat 5, what’s it gonna be like in BR? Trying to decide whether to GTF now or stay put.
