Finally watched Levi's update from earlier today, and he seemed to be still leaning on a westward solution--basically between Beaumont and Tampico, though he did mention some modeling moving eastward. It seems like the high pressure over Florida is holding a little bit of a boundary at this point, though I suspect it depends greatly on how fast and where exactly this thing spins up.

In the way-too-early fear porn category, I offer the following GFS 96 hour (Aug 29) solution putting a decent sized storm just south of Venice:

This thing is going to be here SOON if it goes to the east. That’s four days out.

Is the storm that drives Lake Charles to finally commit suicide? I mean, at some point we collectively quit and move right?

I just don’t see how the whole area could recover from a 3rd hurricane in 12 months. Heck Mayor Hunter is still lobbying for money to help from Laura. Another one would seem like the final blow

Not exactly morning, but I take your point. Sorry--some of us have to work for a living.

Actually, I posted on here a couple of weeks back about the heist of my truck's catalytic converters. Dealer finally got the parts, and I picked it up this evening after work.
