Have you ever read about 1900 Galveston Hurricane? Believed to have been a Cat 4. Estimated 8,000 - 12,000 fatalities. No idea it was coming. Really sad story about an orphanage on the beach.

I mean, I'm over here consulting for free.

Would I be doing this anyway? Sure. But I get to act all entitled since I have a credential.

Pretty good agreement now between the GFS, Canadian and ICON models on a track across far eastern Terrebone Parish

Now these threads make alot more sense...lol

Yeah, so here's a list of people to take seriously in this thread

1) RDS
2) Duke

IIRC tBoat is a meteorology student, so if he's being serious, perhaps take him more seriously than others.

Otherwise.. we're all just a circus clowns following the ring leaders

ll things considered that doesn’t seem too bad? Or is that not the way to think about it?

Doesn’t seem too bad, but then you consider Morgan City is only at 62%.

Would expect New Orleans numbers to level off soon and MC will continue to grow.

Do you think this storm is going to be the worst one in the last 40 years?

Turkeys on the farm think everyday is pretty sweet until their number gets called on thanksgiving....

Ill be saying a Novena for everyone in South Louisiana tonight. For everyone staying, for everyone going and everyone in between.

Care to comment?

You do extremely well in front of a tough audience. So do a few of the others. Good info here if you can overlook the “gang”.

I understand why people say this, but you know some of the best forecasters working right now don't have meteorology degrees, right?

I got 6 friends in Morgan City that won't leave ... 3 couples. "we've always stayed".

I know people in Houma who say the same. Well this may be the last one they stay for.

Check out that traffic. Essentially stopped from BR to Orange, and from NOLA to Mobile.

I'd highly recommend going north if you're considering evacuating at this point.
