That being said, theres a lot pointing to that northern one winning out.
So far, 18z GFS strongly agrees with this. Much further north and east. Downstream impacts are likely to reflect this change (think Central LA coast) for this run.

I realize how little I understand about this stuff when I read some of the posts in here.
Rds may as well be speaking Greek, I just read it and pretend I know what he’s saying.

18z gfs... looks like for 12z Friday it has that northern vort stronger than it was last run. Or am I not looking at it right?

Y'all have no idea how insightful rds's posts are now that I understand 95% of it.
I can tell they are, but it's like if I tried breaking down how an ISP network operates.. it's just a foreign language

I think I'm just going to stop looking at model runs until this thing has a center.
I guess if nothing else, these runs are probably setting the eastern edge of days 4 and 5 of the first cone.

From yesterday this thing has gone from Texas to now models getting close to New Orleans. If I was on the right side of Louisiana I would start to pay attention to this.

Still early in the game but the eastern trends are worrying. We'll know a lot more tomorrow.
