In Prairieville as well. Haven't lost power in this house before, but also never faced a storm like this. Have a generator and a window unit for a worst case scenario

Is “This Storm Feels Different” on the Bingo Card? That seems like the phrase of the day on the news channels.

Eh, auburn ain't bad folk.

Look at it this way...

No matter what happens.

No matter how bad it is.

A lot of us are going to be cooking jamabalayas around big arse pots on Monday.

4am advisory shifted about 20 miles west.

I don't want to speculate on any intensity changes though because I don't know enough to give people hope or caution.

I will say I had McDonald’s for first time in years the other day and service was fast, got my order right, and the fries and burger were piping hot I had to let it cool a bit before I could eat it. It was pretty good. Much better than the Wendy’s, sonic, Burger King I’ve had recently

If one wanted to leave BR, anyone know how traffic on 49 North is moving? Considering Alexandria or Natchitoches

One should probably go past Alexandria to AT LEAST nachitoches to avoid potential power outages.

Also to avoid being murdered.

I have no pine trees, but a 190 year old live oak. Live oaks can withstand hurricanes right?

I'm in Panama City and the only trees left in our community after Michael were the oaks. Now they lost some big limbs and were stripped pretty good but they survived.

As someone whom has loved hurricanes since he was a little kid scared of Andrew, this one does "feel different".

It is different when you are staring down the barrel of a major. This is not to be taken lightly.

Going from a Cat 3 to Cat 4 close to shore seems odd to me.

Looks to be a huge backup on 90 in Morgan City, people traveling Westbound to cross the Atchafalaya Bridge to Berwick.

Staying put as well but the number of people saying they aren’t is making me think I’m being stupid.

What’s people’s barrier for leaving? Trees? Loss of power? Flooding?

Not a stupid question, trying to think this through

Exactly how I feel. But my SO can’t leave due to work and the idea of taking the animals and leaving without him doesn’t feel right to me.

Friends just told me the interstate going west is stopped all the way to bluebonnet already.
