bro...

Lots of the so called horror stories are bullshite like this. or they suddenly are pissed because they want everything upgraded in the house and want it paid for.

not all cases are like that though. i know quite a few that are just straight up getting fricked and had to get lawyer.

its realyl a mixed bag.

I wont go into what carriers our business handles, but we exclusively handle each ones PP claims. rarely are lawyers brought into our claims, and its typically something policy language related or shady on insureds side.

I will give this advice, unless you simply dont have the willpower to do so, dont hire a PA for your contents. You are just giving up money. Dont believe that you will get more money. I feel bad for a lot of these folks that could have easily created their own contents list.

Also, make sure you have replacement cost endorsements.

I like how everything is "spot on" in retrospect

"My friend's mom's uncle's son said he called the direct impact of all storms correctly and never missed for the past 30 years. Yea 2 hours before landfall he nailed it"

New Orleans is already kinda fricked… they been hit by hurricane phase ta two and may never recover anyway.

I just hope NOPD is out doing vaccination checks on looters before they’re allowed to loot.

I’ve got a strong suspicion I’m going to regret buying off-brand homeowners insurance here in MC…

That's one hell of a slow down from Landfall to BR.

FFS my wife's nursing home is evacuating to a gymnasium in Baton Rouge and she volunteered to go there.

The 12z NAM was initialized with a stronger ridge, so that might shift things a bit.

When you say stronger ridge, I am assuming you mean the high that is keeping this thing from shifting eastward? In other words, it may shift a little further west? I know not by much.

Is it always the northeast that’s the worst or does it depend on the storm?

Which is expected to be the worst quadrant for this one?
