Nobody is going to open a ski lift for a random July snow. There’s a lot more to it and people required than just someone operating the lift

Yup. Mammoth Mountain seems to regularly get dumped on into the summer. I can recall a few years over the last several that it snowed there around July 4th. Some seasons they stayed open until after July 4th.
