If it were to hit around Lauderdale and skirt the coast up i would think the entire peninsula would get at least TS force winds with anything say east of center line getting hurricane while the coast just gets flat out hammered by something packing much more wind than Katrina possibly.

After seeing the BR floods, I bought flood insurance for my home in Hollywood, FL. And wouldn't you know it, right after my 30-day waiting period ended.... this happens
