Macho Man died just up the road from me. People still put out flowers at the tree his truck crashed into.

Our city hall is the only one in the country with an active moonshine distillery in it.

There’s a bunch of celebs that live around here. The closest legit monument is to a couple of cops that were killed by Bonnie and Clyde.

landmarks

Instead of landmarks, I’ll go with eyesores. The Catholic Church a couple blocks away that bulldozered 3 houses, for a fenced off playground that no one ever used, and cleared a wooded lot across the street for nothing.

Peters Gates

Charles Rollo Peters

quote:

A 30-acre spread formerly belonging to the artist Charles Rollo Peters is Monterey’s tony Peters’ Gate neighborhood. (Peters sold the estate in 1909 and moved back to his hometown of San Francisco, after spending years entertaining artist friends and painting the crumbling Spanish adobes of Monterey.)

More the city I live in not necessarily the specific neighborhood all of these are within 5-10 minutes from my house.

Nürnberg Trials.

Albrecht Dürer House and famous art

Zeppelin Field (Closest to my Home)

The Zeppelin Field (interior area 312 x 285 meters, bigger than 12 soccer fields) and its main grandstand were the only planned structures that were actually completed. It had a capacity of up to 200,000 people.

Henker House

The office of the hangman and Franz Schmidt, the most famous hangman in the city. His official diary provides deep insights into everyday life in the free imperial city of Nuremberg around 1600.

Today:

All I've got.

Tombstone is about 20 minutes away though.

My yard/neighborhood is the site of a Civil War Battle. There is a monument and an old cannon at a National Park Site a few blocks down the street. My yard is bigger than the park
