Again, the trashy Neanderthal fails to understand the analogy. Not surprising that you're the type of person who thinks this is respectable behavior.

So they got up and ready before you did and you stop them from being ready before everyone else. Sounds like you're the a-hole. There was nothing stopping anyone else from getting ready at the same time or even before then was there? There's a reason why they don't announce and say we get off with the people up in front getting off first. Because there's fat arse slow people that take forever to get ready and out of their seats. People that get ready ahead of time actually help the flow. What a douche

This is an unbelievable take. They got up and ready before me? We still had to taxi for 15 minutes before anyone was getting off the plane… I’ve flown 100’s of times and never been delayed by someone taking forever to get ready to leave, pretty much everyone is excited to get off the plane. They were trying to skip the line and cut in front of people, there is no excuse other than selfishness and if you do this you are a selfish POS

Surely you see the Neanderthal is the person that will stick out their beefy arm and" stoped them from going past me" but you may not. It appears you don't have two brain cells to rub together

So according to what you just said, they DID get up and get in line before you did.

Anyone except trashy Neanderthals understand that your place in "line" is where your seat is.

But I forgot, trashy Neanderthals need signs and announcements to tell them that.

Seriously what is wrong with people who do this? Such a classless thing to do.

Society went from being courteous to everyone thinking the world revolves around them. If you have a connecting flight that you need to rush to that’s fine. If you just want to cut the line for no reason you are probably a terrible person. We used to live in a high trust society with decorum. Now it’s trashy selfish assholes.

While OP has a point, he is not the "etiquette patrol or plane police". Not his responsibility to enforce politeness - especially on an enclosed plane full of passengers.

While I sympathize, and might applaud his behavior in certain circumstances, situations.......but not in this one.

And I will take a wild guess that OP has had many other scenarios where he has been aggressive and quite the jerk. Could be wrong, but I think myself and others envision his "profile" quite accurately. Most likely a very disagreeable person who enjoys exerting a dominance that he lacks inside. And his response(s) verify it.

Do you really think he would have gone all plane nazi on culture?

Hell no.

Hell. No.

They sound like females, too.

He polite policed a couple of 19-24yr old white girls... then came on here to collect his reward.

Slow clap.

Also, quite interesting and indicative that OP felt his "arm barricade" behavior worthy of starting a Thread!?!

I don't think after years of extensive air travel that I have ever seen anyone physically hinder/stop any passengers from exiting plane before others..... including this very flight whereby he solely acted/demanded "respect"!

One can extrapolate strong clues, social messaging/norms as to how/what 99.9% of other airline passengers feel, believe by their actions (reactions) and/or non-actions in similar circumstances.

Perhaps the other passengers were in a hurry for any # of a variety of reasons, or none at all?!

I've also flown 100s of times, although not as often recently. Is that a new thing where the crew allows people to stand in the aisle for 15 minutes while taxiing? I have a hard time understanding how that would be allowed.

I had a tight connection in Frankfurt one time and ad soon as the plane landed i forced my way off. I was given nasty looks and told some stuff in German and French but I made my connection even after Lufthansa was super late from Barcelona.

If they’re ready before you are, why should they wait? As long as they aren’t trampling anyone.

Because then they are in your space in the aisle blocking everyone from being able to get up from their seats and get their stuff from the overhead bin.

It's not like they get from the back of the plane to the front of the plane before getting stopped. Typically they get two to three rows ahead before they are stopped. It makes the whole process in efficient and saves them maybe 30 sec.

If you fly as extensive as you say then you would have seen this quite common. I fly on average 2x per week and atleast 50% of the time some idiot from the back not trying to make a connection gets up and goes in front of everyone. Usually someone stands up and blocks them halfway there.

It’s not a standard traveler, but usually trashy, foreign (in the US), or black. That’s just a fact. It’s definitely annoying and rude.

Can’t be out of your seat while taxiing.

There’s a problem with your story.

Also, I hate people that run up the aisle the moment the plane is at the gate.
