Hate to break it to you, but much of the legal weed and vape in this country is funded by big tobacco.

Yep. At some point they figured out it makes way more sense to go with it down stream instead of fighting the battle upstream

Didn’t Phillip Morris or another hall mark tabacco company shut down their US cig operations to focus solely on Legal weed production?

Yep. They figured that out about the same time their lobbyists negotiated the language of the "Surgeon General's Warning" on every pack.

"Inhaling burning chemicals might be not awesome. This thing we made especially addictive might be not awesome. Sorry we put it in your soldiers' daily rations during all those world wars."

I would assume that any regular inhalation of smoke would have the potential for serious adverse health consequences.

The literature is incredibly weak. We need more research but that would require a change in the scheduling of marijuana. But it figures the media would run with sensationalism rather than facts.

All of that is really nowhere near as bad as the long, rambling, quickly read list of terrible side effects you see/hear on most FDA approved drug commercials. Those are legal, though.

I don’t see marijuana and tobacco as competitors

It’s alcohol that doesn’t want marijuana legalized

Type and paste that whole wall of text and ignore the only critical point in the AHA statement...

quote:

many of the concerning health implications of cannabis include cardiovascular diseases,

Which was the entire point.

I hate the way weed is viewed. Any bad studies are viewed as propaganda. It's a drug regardless of whether you know that or not. It has both pros and cons like any drug. It will be legal and then we can actually study the true benefits and drawbacks of it.

You should be forced to put a disclaimer in title of thread if you are linking to cnn. CNN is satire, not news.
