Ok, gather round children, it’s story time. We were down in the Keys on vacation. I was about 12 and my brother was 8. We had stopped to swim at one of the public beach areas on one of the Keys. They didn’t have showers or change rooms but did have a men’s and women’s restroom. Mens had three stalls and couple urinals. We were each in a stall changing out of swimsuits. Dad and I came out first. When we came out another guy went into the stall my Dad just vacated. Dad was at the sink looking into mirror and brushing his hair. I was just leaned against the wall waiting. All of the sudden my Dad asks me “Son, when’s the last time you saw a good Louisiana arse Whooping”. I was like oh shite, what did I do now. Little did I know is that my Dad had noticed a small hole in the stall divider between the stall he had used and the one my brother was in. While he was brushing his hair, in the mirror he could see the guys feet turned and was able to see thru the small crack in the door opening that the dude was peeping thru the hole into the next stall watching my little brother. Next thing I know my Dad spins around and kicks the stall door in and proceeds to step in and beat the ever loving shite out of the guy. My brother came flying out of the stall he was in and I just grabbed his arm and drug him outside and found my Mom. After a minute my Dad just came casually walking out and told us to load up in the car. We drove off and he didn’t say a word about it for about for about it. Later that night in the hotel he had a long conversation with me and my brother about how there are perverts and sick people in the world. How to always stay vigilant. And when we get grown and have kids to always be on the lookout for them because their is evil everywhere. I tell you what, you didn’t frick around with my old man.

This was never a problem until like 10 years ago. Society shockingly was able to regulate itself just fine without passing laws and getting the government involved
