Steer clear of the Astor Hotel on Canal Street this week.

It's the annual swinger convention "Naughty in Nawlins."
I know about this because a person at my office is involved with the planning.
I am also close to girl who used to be in management at the Astor, and she described the goings-on at the hotel during the week. A ballroom set up with wall-to-wall beds. People shagging in the hallways. They always have a lot of their housekeeping staff quit because they don't want to deal with the cleanup.
Can you imagine the disinfectants needed to clean that hotel after?

I thought they tore down that eyesore on canal and the interstate...or is the Astor some other 1960's style hotel that is in disrepair and no normal person has visited since the 1988 Republican national convention?

They used to have this at the Royal Sonesta. They would put curtains up and sell off entire floors for the convention. Rooms would be set up for each type of preference. Naked people everywhere, some good looking, most meh. They would bring in their own mattresses I believe. I have a friend in the swinger community and he volunteered last year. It was at the Saint I believe. Lots of crazy stories.

The Astor crowne plaza isn’t really what you described
