Non-sworn job???? Like what? Handling cash? Doing background checks on applicants? Quartermaster? Casino applications? Nope - no integrity deserves no job w/ LSP. We'll see what happens.

I was thinking clerk at the window issuing drivers licenses? In MS that is a function of the highway patrol, don't know about LA.

Most of our info comes from the lady and she never IDs stalecracker, right? If they don't have enough hard evidence to terminate him, they may reassign him. I'm assuming there is a state review board that he can apply to if he gets terminated, in MS that board is fairly lenient.

Lawyers (officers of the court) do 10x worse and don't get disbarred. Heck a certain former governor of an adjoining state did 10x worse and he's still a free man, drawing a pension.

I would laugh but you couldn't have seen this coming.
This same judge also beat a DWI rap before this by challenging the calibration and function of the breathalyzer.

Judge Don Johnson Charged In Hit & Run
Published: May. 1, 2003 at 11:00 PM CDT|Updated: May. 4, 2003 at 10:33 PM CDT
Baton Rouge police have confirmed that Judge Don Johnson was involved in a hit and run accident Wednesday night. The incident happened around 11 p.m. at the intersection of College Drive and South Foster. Police say Johnson was driving a 1994 Jeep Cherokee and instead of turning left or right, he kept straight ahead and plowed into a utility pole.

The impact of the crash was strong enough to bend the pole and cause it to pull away from the ground. Headlights from the jeep are still on the ground. Police say a witness who went to help Judge Johnson saw him bleeding after leaving the vehicle.

Next police say Johnson asked the witness to drive him to a nearby restaurant. Johnson then disappeared for more than 12 hours, not reporting the wreck to police until Thursday morning, police say primarily to get his belongings back.

"This morning we did finally hear from Judge Johnson, mid to late morning - I guess it was many, many hours after the accident occurred," said Corporal Don Kelly, with the Baton Rouge Police Department. "Our investigators made arrangements to meet with him at about three o'clock this afternoon at his residence."

Because the judge did not contact police until some 16 hours later it was too late to test him for alcohol. 9 News made several attempts to reach Judge Johnson but he has not returned our phone calls. According to police Judge Johnson says he was trying to miss a dog and that's what caused the accident.

Several years ago in the 'Sip, we had a State Supreme Court Justice get arrested for DUI, he served out his term (lost reelection) and is a current practicing attorney.

Many attorneys have stolen for poor people and not gotten disbarred.

Just saw the tv segment. It made it seem like what happened or didn't happen is all very suspect with the investigation wrapping up soon

Unfortunately this boat thing is an integrity violation and he should be separated from LSP for it. Imagine, every time he is put on a witness stand, he will be asked about the boat accident, failing to render aid to the injured, not calling it it to protect his friend, and running away from the scene to basically obstruct. He'll get torn apart by defense counsel on any case he's involved with over his integrity problem until the day he leaves law enforcement...and rightfully so.

Exactly what a retired trooper told me this weekend.

If you were fingered afterwards maybe.

I’m not specifically familiar with that procedure, tbh.

His seasoning is like a salt lick. No real flavor just a huge salt kick.

Actually it doesn't taste salty at all and has a decent flavor to it. That is why you can use so much of it in one dish.

I don't find it very salty at all, cayenne heavy, but good.

Just came across this. They’re claiming to be reading the official report from LSP.

Sorry for the FB link.

No I don't care to "summarize", watch it yourself or borrow someone's FB login.
