Calling a drink "gender fluid" and naming it GAYWATCH sounds like sarcasm/satire to me

perhaps, but if that was the case, i'm sure the Northshore gay mafia (which is about 95% people that just come up from NOLA to rabblerouse in a known conservative community) would have been all over that in the comments. but the comments are almost all gay people praising Pat's support.

Why would the parish be paying for his lawyers since its related to an alleged offense that he committed off duty and in a personal capacity?

Is the Sheriff ever off duty? Is any elected official ever off duty?

He was either on duty drunk and should be removed from office, or he was off duty not in uniform and the parish shouldn't pay for his legal fees.

STPSO has a millage renewal coming up. Not looking good.

I vote no on 100% of millage renewals, increases and new taxes proposed anyway so he was never getting my vote. They have enough money... learn how to spend.

Well that's just like, your opinion man.

I have passively kept up with this, but admittedly don't know many details. Has it been disclosed yet, why the criminal was not arrested immediately after he attacked his victim? Does his victim have rights to protection under the law? Was the attack caught on video?

nothing from the parish president and parish council members

Cooper and a few council have said they are waiting to see what actually happened before commenting, but have confidence in the AG investigation. What else do you want them to say without knowing what happened?

what % of the population would have been arrested for doing what he did?
I would figure a very high percentage of people would have been arrested for drunkenly hitting, choking and kicking someone in a bar.

Of course, this is assuming that the reports presented in news and social media sources are credible.

"i like everyone else found out about this from the news report. An investigation by the LA AG has begun, however this incident continues a pattern of behavior by sheriff smith of vindictive retaliation against his critics, which has now escalated into violence in a public place. this kind of conduct, regardless of circumstances, is antithetical to the trust the citizens of st tammany have placed in its elected leaders, and cannot be tolerated. i call on the st tammany parish sheriff's department to place sheriff smith on immediate leave, pending the investigation."

Its Madisonville. Their PD might have one cop on duty at any given time and he’s too busy trying to nail someone for speeding where Hwy 22 drops from 55 to 35 coming into town. No time to be bothered with assault and battery calls

Again, we don’t know what happened, what if Bobby threw first punch? Or are we taking Randy’s biggest critic at his word? We don’t know what happened, so elected officials should not be commenting on unknown matters.

there is a witness, on record, corroborating the victim’s account. That information was available Saturday morning. Also, according to Fox 8, there is video.

And even if neither were the case, under what circumstances would you say the sheriff of st tammany is justified in engaging in a violent encounter in a public place while intoxicated?

have you seen any reporting that the victim was the aggressor? You have not because it doesn’t exist

I have an eye witness account that Randy came up behind him, put him in a head lock and quickly rabbit punched him a few times, threw him to the ground and legit beat him down. Embarrassing for Bobby

If this is true, then whatever law enforcement(s) arrived to investigate the incident, yet didn't arrest Randy, need to be fired also.

Well, we found Bobby’s TD name.

Most people are saying Bobby got what he deserved. Sheriff needs to control his actions and will face consequences. but making Bobby as the victim is a joke.
