Apparently yeah. I don't condone it, but that is what we are seeing.

So any new news come out tonight? Not talking the the fricks rioting. Talking about the shooting itself. Last update I heard was this afternoon that they were gonna release the cop's name tomorrow at noon, which ain't smart if you ask me.

It would be awesome if he had a minority parent.

Haven't paid too much attention to the story, so maybe I'm missing something. But it seems like the cop is really in the wrong for his actions. And when a wrong has been done, I have no problem with gathering together to protest for justice. This is, after all protected in the 1st. What I do have a problem with the ignorants who take this chance as an excuse to loot and destroy property. I wonder if they realize, they are not only not helping, but completely worsening the situation.

I'm sure the need for police to respond to the looting and riots isn't helping expedite the investigation. Not that the criminals care about the dead boy anyway.

Rumor from cops here is that cop in question is black (pure rumor, so TIFWIW). They'll have to release his identity at some point. Not sure now is a great time.

Why were people on here today claiming that the rioting had calmed down?

If they release his name before Ferguson stops burning, I hope they're offering protection or they'll be facing significant litigation from multiple parties.

MSNBC would implode if this is the case.

They wouldn't know whether to shite or wind their watch.

Why? Does he get a pass to abuse his authority if he's a minority?

Some are idiots from the area. Some are idiots from outside of the area that are coming in and taking advantage of the situation. They don't care if they're helping or not, they're just thugs.

No, it would be stupid. I can guarantee you it won't take long for someone to post his home address on social media and all hell will break loose then. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if the cop was black. Well, I guess I kinda would be based on the relatively low numbers of black cops that Ferguson has.
