The Sprouts is fine. I don’t know what y’all expect from a grocery store, but I’ve gone at least once a week since it’s over there and haven’t had any issues. It’s definitely not Whole Food prices and the employees I have interacted with have been generally good.

Also, Rouzan has blown up in the past year since Spinoza got out of it. Not sure what that comment is about.

You are SO wrong. I have been in Sprouts (Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado & Louisiana) on average about every other week for over four years now. I can count the less than exemplary visits on one hand in that span. Their produce is some of the best that can be found. I find the meat and seafood to be quite excellent as well. And the people are beyond friendly. I don't know what the complainers on this thread are even talking about. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt... but I will go as far to say that y'all are partly or completely making these complaints up.

This guy works for them...

It wasn't even necessary. Baton Rouge is too small for as many fart sniffing grocery stores it's got.

I stock up at the one in Wheat Ridge before ski trips and camping stays at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Wasn’t a fan of Sprouts in Houston & not a fan here in BR. Sprouts can’t be what it wants to be here Especially considering the workforce it has to pull from.

I prefer Fresh Market, personally, if i am gonna go to a similar spot. All that “organic” bullshite is a marketing gimmick anyway to get more $$ out of the average joe.

I know JPinLondon and can tell you he definitely does not work for them. He’s been telling me about Sprouts for years when he lived in Houston. Now that he’s back in BR, he was quite happy that a Sprouts finally opened up there.

Sprouts in Decatur GA can be fairly ghetto, but it's still the best, closest thing to my house for my weekly shopping between Costco runs. I try to go on double ad Wednesdays and just grab what's on sale. I actually find their meat and fish pretty good. I won't pay full price but I grab stuff on sale. I have pretty low expectations.

I will say that it took a significant quality dive over the first few months. They also jacked up their regular prices on a lot of stuff during that time.

Maybe we should stop paying people to breed and exist and we’d see a little more enthusiasm. The problem with “poverty” is that, in this modern world, it isn’t painful. AC, big screen TV, enough food.

Reasonably comfortable Subsistence is enough for some people.

Raising the wages across the board will only exacerbate the problems.

Cut off the gov’t teat and people will adapt or starve.

After the riots of course. Gotta break some eggs to make the omelette

Sprouts is the worst of the major organic chains. Fresh Market is the GOAT, no idea if you guys have them over in Louisiana. They have by far the best grocery store bakery. I'm also a fan of the new Greenwise in Birmingham (A Publix spinoff) for their deli options and smoothies, but they're pretty limited in locations right now with I believe less than 10 nationwide.

It’s very good. They have the best in-store, homemade croissants. Also, their deli department is great. Only knock, pass on their rotisserie chicken. Lacks flavor and by the time you get home, it gets dry quickly.

Their butcher deals on Tuesday are good considering the quality of product.
