I don’t get this place. It had the same stuff as Fresh Market. Except no meat department. No prepared foods besides crappy sushi. No deli. Limited produce. No special items you can’t get somewhere else.
What’s the deal?

Are you referring to Sprouts at Rouzan (BR)? If so...
no meat department >> WRONG (good meat and superb fish)
no prepared foods >> WRONG (see below)
limited produce >> WRONG (I have not seen better produce anywhere between N.O. and Katy, TX except for, possibly, Fiesta Mart near the Texas Medical Center in Houston)
For the haters out there, I go to Sprout's every Wednesday at 7:30am. I'll be at the fresh coffee section in six days. Come say hello, and if you can show me anything less than EXEMPLARY in that store, I will buy you a cup of coffee or a drink of your choice. I'll wear a red shirt that day.

I didn’t notice any of that but maybe the meat is up front?
By prepared food, I mean like hot bars and stuff. I didn’t see any of that.
Produce was meh. I have more luck at Southside
Even Whole Foods. Not trying to shite on the place. I was excited because of how people rave. But it was basically Fresh Market.

your opinion is full of shite - Sprouts is about as polar opposite of trader Joes as you can get.

Why are you so butthurt that people don’t like a fricking grocery store. Who gives a shite

Clearly the one in BR IS shite. Question at this point is whether this is only about shitty employees or if this is a chain wide issue somehow.

I've only ever been the Sprouts in Houston on Yale St, and I've never had any issues there. Usually good sales and the employees are friendly.

Nobody gives a shite that you work the deli counter at a grocery store dude
Posted on 10/4/19 at 9:39 am to teke184
the stores are only as good as the work force they can bring in, but then again that is a true statement for any retain establishment

True. BUT a lot of problems can also be due to corporate culture issues.
For a different grocery store example, try Rouse’s.
Any store that was originally built by Rouse’s functions properly and has good products.
Any store that was acquired via purchase by Rouse’s has had a lot of problems in multiple arenas that weren’t there before the purchase.
The LeBlanc’s stores were great and they went into the toilet the second Rouse’s bought them.
That’s on who they brought in to manage them, the suppliers used to get certain products, etc.
I’m pretty sure this was beaten into the ground in multiple threads with part of the answer being that LeBlanc’s was part of AG and that Rouse’s had been kicked out of AG and was having to use an alternative supplier who was shite.

my wife works for a Sprouts in Birmingham, and loves it. personally i have seen and know a bit of how it operates, and it is a good corporation to work for.
some things I do not agree with, but they are the only grocery store you can go to and buy something and if you do not like it, or if you buy meat and it goes bad before you use it (none of their meats have preservatives in them) you can return it no questions asked and no receipt needed and either exchange it or get a refund.

We have plenty of Sprouts in Colorado, and I have no problem with them.

Because this is a board devoted to people sharing their opinions and I am sharing mine. And disagreeing with others. Particularly the full-of-shite ones. Also, frick you!
