What a mood killer.

Along with the typical excuses I get (headache, exhausted, etc.) I am told by my wife that she doesn't want to be "asked" to have sex, but would rather be "romanced" and see what that leads to.
So, not sure how we ever would have any sexual encounter in Spain.

What about the women with rape fantasies?

Many women like being “taken”.

Nothing makes them drier that some slapdick meekly saying “is it alright if I try to Kiss you?”

“Is it okay if I touch your breasts now?”

You read the unspoken words and press your luck. If you get shut down you stop.

But i’m Not playing 20 fricking questions to get to pleasure island. I’d just as well find someone more enthusiastic about it.

So I’m guessing dudes need to start carrying legal papers with them when dealing with the ladies

Realistically, technology will address this. Think of subtle changes to the Venmo app.

After all, the kind of SJW woman who would claim no consent is the kind of a woman likely to be on social media during foreplay anyway.

This law applies to women too.

I would encourage you to look at the rising number of women being accused of rape in colleges around the US and ask if thats the answer to the "rape epidemic".

I’ve heard multiple women speaking about this topic. They are saying that young women and future women will neither understand nor get to experience being “wooed.” Sex is quickly becoming literally contractual. The romance is gone and women are driving the movement and women will be the ones to lose the most.

Wait, so a woman could take off her clothes, pull your dick out with her hands, and sit on it, while moaning in pleasure.

But if she doesn't say "yes", the man can get arrested?

And the law doesn't require a verbal "yes", you can affirmatively consent in other ways.

Ah, nvm. Carry on.

I thought sex was already rape unless the woman agreed to sex.

This law seems dumb and re-wording something already in place for politics.

Either women are equal, and capable of setting their own sexual boundaries or not. How feminists see this legislation as promoting equality is mind blowing.

The concept is often referred to as affirmative consent, in which both parties agree to sexual conduct, either through clear, verbal communication or nonverbal cues or gestures

Isn't this the way it's always worked?

I like the narrative that as men get drunk, they turn into cold, calculating predators who are keenly aware of what they're doing but women turn into helpless fawns after half a glass of chardonnay.

A drunk guy could be sitting at a bar, get picked up by a completely sober chick, bang him, and he'll still be guilty of sexual assault because he didn't know she was kinda thinking no in her head but didn't say anything to him.

How is this any different than the current state of hooking up?

You can pretty obviously tell when a woman is into sleeping with you. Once she's says "no", you stop. Why does this have to be legislated?

It’s like they’ve never been around women who get super horny once they’re drunk.

Exactly...this law is a license for any woman to destroy/blackmail any man she has sex with. What if she lies about the consent?
