think one of the biggest casualties of Covid was the absolute enshittification of SWA.
It was when they acquired AirTran (2011) that the downward slide began.

If you need to pre-board then it’s only logical you get off the plane last at your destination.
It depends on why the pers0n is pre-bparding and what kind of assistance they need. If they have an aisle seat and I have a window seat and they can't even stand much less walk without assistance, no...they should not deplane after me.
Yesterday we flew out of MSY on SW and there was a little persons conference in NOLA last week and I swear I think we had probably 20 little people on our plane, all of which needed some sort of additional assistance (putting bags in the overhead bin, a few in wheelchairs). It would have been a debacle if they just sat in their seats and deplaned last.

Their pre-board policy was bullshite.
Leaving Tampa once I swear 90% of the flight pre boarded, I had something like a3 and there were no seats next to each other

I had a really early flight out of Logan on Thursday.
We got to security, and TSA precheck line had to have a dozen people waiting. Which surprised me since it wasn't even 6am, then we walked to general lane there was literally no one in line. My wife had to ask are y'all open?

If you fly Southwest, you get what you pay for. Just deal with it and enjoy the moderately cheaper flight.

I gotta be honest, I don’t think Southwest is cheap anymore. I am flying them Tuesday because I have flight credits. After that, I think I’m going United.
United seems to be cheaper than SW now.

The only thing I care about is if we arrive safely.
However, let a mother fricker try to open the door or get at the cockpit and I’ll kill him.

don’t get the infatuation with getting on a plane early. You now get an assigned seat. WGAF when you board to go sit in your cramped seat for this short flight, or if it’s after a bunch of the other people in this cattle haul?
Getting situated and that preflight cocktail. If it’s a big plane and takes a long time to board that pre flight cocktail can turn into two.
I’d rather be sitting down and enjoying a beverage as opposed to standing in line.
