If you’re going to shite post here, you should at least get a decent radar app

Don’t get your panties in a wad bud. When the poster posted that, we weren’t getting slammed. I’ve been working outside. I don’t need a radar app when I can visually see light rain falling down.

What??? All I’m seeing is light green on KPLCs radar.

Around 11:30 had a radar indicated strong cell with 40mph winds and penny sized hail go about 3 miles north of my house.

Things are very very calm here in NOLA. think a lot of people rethinking closing decisions based on that, but the storms aren’t even here yet

In St Bernard, CHS closed at 12, middle schools at 1230, elementary schools at 1. Lot of teachers here live across the lake, busses need to run, etc. The goal is to have everyone home by the time the weather gets bad... not have school dismiss by the time weather gets bad.

Just cancelled school Tuesday for Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties. Florida panhandle. Supposed to be rough here at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

Add Walton and Bay county to that list as well.

Love these threads and watch for the best info...

Seeing how I wanted UGA to be in the CFPCG, at least I can watch the storm coverage
too... ...

Seriously tho live 2 miles east of Bon Secour bay near Billy's &
Gulf Shores...

Put errything we think will blow away up and praying for weak spin ups over the bay...

Crazy how many weak tornadoes seem to spin up and go over Magnolia Springs, Robertsdale etc.

Only been here 3 years and just missed Sally...

Prayers and best wishes to all in the storms way...

I’m kinda freaked out because KSHV is down for upgrade and IDK whether to trust the radar from newly renamed Army post in Vernon Parish. There’s a warned storm just to my southeast, moving through Red River Parish right now. I hope the NWS Shreveport office has access to the radar from BAFB.

I also love these threads, and don't live too far from you.

Seems like if there are tornadoes near the coast, they are usually pretty weak. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

shite down that way defaults to the spin cycle. Damn rain showers have rotation.

That area and into the Panhandle may end up having the biggest concern for this event.

You all also have a tendency to have to deal with it at night for whatever reason.

They do. The NWS uses pretty much all available radars.

Damn skippy I will. Let's see, where are we at now with the forecasts?

Oh wait, now we're down to 2 inches of rain with the majority being forecasted to come down late this evening.

I'm calling it, in another couple of hours it'll be downgraded to an inch of rainfall for the day.
