Yep. Making a delivery to Bon Secour now. Finish strapping all our equipment down and picking up chairs at beach house in Ft Morgan. Better safe than sorry.

Downtown St. Amant stretches from Delaune's DoIt Center, past Bourgeois Brothers to Marlin's Pizza.

Crazy how many weak tornadoes seem to spin up and go over Magnolia Springs, Robertsdale etc.

Storms seem to love to rotate on barrier islands near the gulf.

I assume it has to do with the onshore winds interacting with the offshore winds combining with all the humidity, but I’m sure someone else on here can explain it with far more substance.

All I know is I routinely see what would be called a funnel cloud in Central AL and they are only warned ~50% of the time.

Now they almost never cause much damage so I expect they are barely related to the supercell monsters you see in Hattiesburg/Tuscaloosa/etc, but they don’t worry much over them near the water from what I can tell.

I am curious, have you ever worked in a school system? I am not asking in a sarcastic manner, I would seriously like to know.

Radar seems a mess right now. Not a lot of discrete cells but not really a line forming either.

Holy crap. I was supposed to fly from Green Bay back to Charleston tomorrow, stopping in Chicago. Needless to say I got ahead of it and rescheduled for Wednesday, as all 3 cities are gonna get smashed with a different type of shite.

didn't know there was a downtown St. Amant.

It's pretty windy throughout the BR area.

WAFB has live camera feeds around the Baton Rouge metro area here: WAFB Sky9 Cameras

Looks calm now, but the wind is picking up. Some rain around Essen and out in Livingston and False River is looking a little choppy with a steady wind. But otherwise all is fairly calm so far.

We have that one tornado warning North of The Woodlands in TX. There has been a notable change on radar since the wind shift. Every little blob is showing some rotation. This will probably be the story farther East, too, once the wind shifts. Now, to see if any updrafts can sustain themselves.

We were just in Nashville in our RV when the tornado went through, about a mile north of us.

We're back in Perdido Key for this one, but at least in the house for it.
