The goddammed tick tick tick from 60 Minutes starting meant the weekend was over and dreaded school was in the morning. Deflating to say the least.

"You're gonna cause me and your mom to get a divorce if you don't start acting right."
While the counselors were trying to tell kids it wasn't their fault.

The 80's I feel can't be beaten. I was a kid then. 90's were great as a young adult.
But as a kid, getting home after school and hearing the intro song to Scooby Doo or He-Man was the highlight of my day.
Or the sound of a go cart idling. There was always that ringing sound of the chain rattling up on it that got me excited to ride.

Without watching the video, I'm sure there are quite a few from my era.
The sounds of VERY active rail activity in my neighborhood along 4th Street Highway in Harvey, LA. It was still Southern Pacific then, and they were busy.
Sea planes taking off and landing in the Harvey Canal before the elevated West Bank Expressway blocked it.

I spent about 45 minutes on YouTube last night listening to the halo and halo 2 themes, covers, and a video on Steve vai and the H2 recording.

It's some of the GOAT relaxation music or background music for doing stuff around the house

I grew up on the river so a boat motor pushing a flat sets me back 35 years in an instant

The sounds of the B-52s warming up at Barksdale Air force base early in the morning.

I saw the title and the first thing that came to mind was the daily fire station sirens which usually meant to get your arse home.

The ticking of the grandfather clock that my grandparents had. It was ASMR before anyone knew what that meant.
The ring from the green wall phone in the kitchen.
The squeaky fan belt on my old man’s truck; you could hear it when he was driving up the driveway from work.
The theme song on the end credits of Sanford and Son. Hearing that meant two things: the local news was about to come on and dinner was about to be ready.
So many others. Good times.

The crickets and bugs at night in the summer while sleeping with the windows open at my grandparents house. No AC.

At night listening to the trade winds blowing in the palm trees and hearing calypso music faintly on the AM radio. [ TV (Black & White) signed off in the evening.]

Yep. I miss those years.
We are the same age group.

Remember those sounds well as a kid playing outside in Bossier Parish. I remember being in awe watching the mid-air refuelings.
The old Barksdale air shows were great back then too.

Ahh the amazing walk-man. I broke so many of those throwing them against the wall after a football game (loss) in high school. I can't believe I kept buying them.

The sounds of crickets and cicadas in the summer. Window fans and, later, A.C. window unit. The sound of 18-wheelers in the distance on the deer stand at dawn. The sound (and sights) of the woods coming to life at sunrise. A creek flowing. Having the radio on at breakfast and no TV (60's), listening to the local agri-report and weather. Listening to my grandmother talk to her friends, all ladies born in the late 1800's. Listening to my dad and all the older guys telling stories drinking whiskey and playing blackjack at the deer camp. Hearing Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc., for the first time. Listening to the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks in the middle of the night on the monster AM signals back then. Talking to people in Arizona and California on the walkie-talkie on the "skip".
