I'm a huge Disney fan as well. I went once about 16 years ago, then went back last October.
It's just fun and high quality. There isn't trash littering the streets. There aren't any wal marts or gas stations at every corner. You have to go offsite if you want any of that. It is well run.
The OP sounds A) Cheap and B) just a shitty person in general. My wife's family go to Disney often. We took our 1 year old (at the time) and was surprised how well he did there. We are going back again when he gets old enough to ride some rides. By then, there should be a few more from when we last went.

My favorite is SeaWorld, and Kraken is the best roller coaster in Orlando.
Actually, the best park is by far Discovery Cove. Plus you get 5 days free at Seaworld/Busch Gardens Tampa if you go there.

We used to bring kids in summer and then the wife and I would go in the fall for the food and wine fest. So it would be two trips a year basically. We're DVC members. Now it's one annual trip or every other year. We plug in other trips and vacations as well whether to the beach or a cruise. The wife and I are heading to italy this fall without the kids.

OMG. That place was the bomb. All the clubs and the techno/trance at Mannequins. It's now a japanese sushi place. It sucks they shutdown SOSA's little cigar bar in downtown disney also aka disney springs now. we would always relax there at night and smoke a cigar with a cognac.
We still have fun wining and dining in EPCOT and going to raglan road for the music and adult beverages. I have friends who work at the rose and crown pub in EPCOT so we have a blast with them everytime. They moved here permanently from the UK.

It's not so much that. It's that the OP and a select few others fails to see the big picture in that a trip to Disney (for most), is about the kids' experience. To call somebody trashy is ridiculous and is trying way too hard.

Well this is the OT.. Common sense is pretty much lacking in 90% of the posters here..

Call it a hunch but I'm guessing all of these "world travelers" go to the beach in Biloxi or Destin every year and think they're special.

I love the shite out of my kids and I'll deal with it to see their faces glow and create memories. I also won't go when it's busy because I'm not an idiot. September and late April are the best.

We are close to another couple who spent their honeymoon at Disney, and literally go every year, sometimes twice a year....
