Agreed. The geniuses saying “do you know what NORAD is” don’t know what NORAD is.

It's why my first comment was "Do you know what NORAD does". I had a feeling it would devolve.

We didn’t shoot shite down . Trudeau will say anything we want him to. Did any of you see any debris or wrecked metal. We saw ballon before we shot it down and in ocean next day. Any bets we never see anything from this object wecshot down over Alaska?

NORAD is just between the US and Canada... to protect from the Soviets....

Just a reminder that once government creates something they never let it go.

It is the only thing F22's will ever shoot down.
We are scared shitless to get them involved in any conflict.
Not sure they are pieces of shite or too complex to use.

It's all a big distraction for something bigger, we may or may not ever hear about. I seen where it looks like Ukraine could be using chemical weapons, if that's true I wonder where they got them? Something is going on.

The issue is they are purely air to air fighters, nothing will beat them in air to air, but modern battles don’t require that when you can have a very good multi role aircraft like the F35 which can do everything. F22 is no doubt the current GOAT in air superiority, but the F35 overall is just better for our current needs.

NORAD, and specifically some very common sense treaties in place.

Biggest military threat to the US is/was Russia/Soviet Union.
The world is a globe, the quickest path is over Canada

Now, consider the following- there's not much of real strategic value in Canada worth attacking, so any hostile aggressor entering Canada from Europe or Asia is heading for us. So we want to take them down before they get here...
we have treaties that lay that out, and establishes what we can do.

They probably like to fly together. Gives all of them practice in case they ever have to fly against any bad guys, and we seem to be moving ever closer to that possibility.

Besides, Maverick can practice doing inverted 5 g dives on his Canadian buddies, then get him another shootdown credit for his service record. I'd say, with all the crap he tries, he needs all the shootdown credits he can get.
