This actually happened last week in the town where I live. Cliffs: Woman freaks out on Facebook, probably smears guy. Karens back her up and won't listen to reason.

Woman is going to Target in Flowood. Has two toddlers, one needs diaper changed so she pops the hatchback on her SUV and commences to changing the offending diaper. A woman walks up to her with her own kid and tells her a man in a truck is videotaping her changing the diaper. OMG!!! She takes the kids, jumps in the SUV, locks the doors, and calls police, her husband, and of course, mama.

Police show up, dude had gone in the store to go shopping. They find him. He hands them his phone, nothing in it, they apologize to him. They tell the mother they cleared him, everything was ok.

Ok, at this point, should be ok, right? Someone was cautious, police came, checked it out, and it should be over.

Oh no. She has to post his name, pictures of his truck and tag on FB. You got it. All hell broke loose. Of course, all the Karens were on there with their friend, wanting to whip his arse, calling him a perv, child molestor, etc.

Well, he apparently heard about it so he got on there and said he was in his 50's, left his glasses at home, got a text he was trying to read, hence why the phone was up to his face, and then he went inside and went shopping. Had no problem cooperating with the Poh-lice. Of course, he is past mad as hell and starts replying to comments. The Karens naturally say since he is defending himself, he must be guilty. The mother's husband gets on there and starts talking him what a creep he is. Friends of hers were talking about hurting him so he said message me so I can tell you where I live to come do it.

Dude says he is going to be suing for slander and probably was more mad than when he first logged on.

Talk about a mob mentality. Wouldn't have matter what he said or what he did, they wanted to crucify the guy. All it would have taken is a crazy husband egged on by his wife or someone else

This post got over 400 comments and a ton of shares. Hope her homeowner's insurance police is paid up.

If you’re going to start a thread like this, you simply must provide pics and/or screenshots

Half the hoodrat shootings today are probably from social media beefs.

Social media is the brain rot of society. Deactivating Facebook and Twitter were two of the best decisions I’ve made.

Good. I can't stand the "you can't be too safe" attitude of Karens.

Not every homeowners policy will cover this. Some will, some won’t. Either way, that guy surely has a solid case since he was cleared by the investigation and I hope this girl’s policy doesn’t cover it so she can be sued personally.

Frick people who blow shite like that up on social media.

If there was concrete evidence, still not a fan but ok, do your thing.

If there is no evidence, frick you. And yes, you can and should be arrested for that. You can literally ruin someone’s life over that

Why did the cops go through his phone? I'm sure he agreed to it but I'm still confused what would be the consequences if he was videoing some lady changing a diaper in public.

Allowing people without a college email to use it was an awful move

I have always said that there is one crime for which you are never cleared regardless of the circumstances or how innocent you are. That's being a pedophile. It doesn't matter that you are publicly declared innocent, your friends and family will always look at you a bit strange and wonder. Would you leave your kids with someone who was accused of that? I wouldn't.

People should be damn careful when laying that accusation on someone.

The Feminization of America. Combining low emotional intelligence with moral hysteria. Isn’t it great?

He probably offered. Wanted them to see it was boring.

Maybe for you it’s a no issue. But on a macro level, it’s part of every day life for hundreds of millions of not billions. It’s definitely affects human to human social interaction and behavior in a bad way. But there’s nothing we can do about it. Pandora’s box has been open. Can’t undo it.
