Just think about how fast they were able to do that considering COVID wasn’t here but 8 months before the election.

Makes it a lot easier when you control the media.

From the article YOU LINKED

quote:

Overall, an estimated 299,028 excess deaths occurred from late January through October 3, 2020, with 198,081 (66%) excess deaths attributed to COVID-19. The largest percentage increases were seen among adults aged 25–44 years and among Hispanic or Latino persons.

You’re quoting an increase in the 25-44 year olds, an age group that has nearly a zero percent chance from dying of covid. They didn’t say those are confirmed, only they are extrapolating because what else could it be. Great response

If you have time, find the OT coronavirus thread and go back to the first page. Read what was going on.

Fear of the unknown allowed people to be more willing to accept the measures of control (control of the virus and/or control of the people), and a media that was already set up and well versed at trumpeting fear did nothing but turn up the heat on the fear pushing. The media was a giant problem in all of this when they should have been a help. That is evidenced by the fact that positive Covid news just wasn't covered by the US media, particularly when compared to other countries. As a whole, our country will look back at how big a disaster our knee-jerk reactions were. Hopefully, we learn that emotions and feelings should never govern the people. Hopefully. I have little reason to believe that will actually happen, though.

Hundreds of thousands dead in America, and millions around the world. Is there a war since the Civil war that killed as many people in such a short period of time?

Cancer and heart disease kill more people every single year, yet we have no government intervention, health mandates, or changing of election laws for those mass killers.

Another question: Why so little curiosity or attention being paid to how Covid started? You would think with a pandemic like this there would be a massive international effort to determine just how it started. Yet this issue is being totally ignored.

You know why. But I'll say it anyway.....despite their token words to keep this thing a frighteningly huge ordeal, their actions (and inactions, as the case may be) indicate that they're actually not overly concerned with it at all. Which in turn of course indicates their manipulation and dishonesty over the whole thing.

I heard something about Chinese propaganda out of Wuhan that showed people dropping dead in the streets.

There were tweets of people dropping in Chyna and of the CCP welding bars on doors to keep people with the bat virus in their homes but we as a nation have lost our sack and allowed an ill-informed CDC to dictate our actions instead of pursuing freedom and liberty.

Haven't heard a paramedic or a nurse in a covid ward call it a mass overreaction.

Reports from China and Italy had the world believing a 7-10% morality rate which, given its ability to spread, would've been catastrophic.

I'd personally only call it an overreaction in certain places.

Sorry, the_watcher, you blew that. It is 229,028 extra deaths. That is among all demographics. The fact that 25-44 year olds saw the biggest increase is meaningless to your argument. He proved you wrong.
