Any body else notice this is the new craze in the pinterest/Stanley cup/Starbucks latte group?

Apparently the boards or tiles or whatever can cost hundreds and it looks like poker with scrabble tiles with Chinese symbols on them.

The new bridge/pokeno? Anybody into this/SO into this?

I wonder how many millions cities will spend on buildings to house or hold mahjong tournaments. Will they charge for parking?

cost of the tile alone will be astronomical, but I'll bet Charleston will spring for it

I got chastised by a friend for wanting to play it with my wife a while back.

I like playing it with the wife (it’s like poker on hard mode), but it’s an unwritten rule that men cannot play it in public.

Its been popular in certain circles for a while, but yes, it’s trending a little along with other Asian-related items.

The tiles aren’t necessarily expensive though. Only if you buy expensive sets.

I’ll help you out since you seem like you’re retarded. A statement was made that the sets can cost “hundreds of dollars”, with the implication being that the game is an expensive hobby, perhaps prohibitively so.

The response was that yes, it can be expensive if you’re purchasing those sets, but there are also cheap plastic sets that you can pick up for around $30. I’ll try to spoon feed you better next time. Twat.
