My mother-in-law just bought a new 4-Runner, I don't want to know how much she paid.

Of course there's a story she tells about buying it. She brought her 2015 Subaru Forester to Subaru of BR and they fixed "something" for $800 and the check engine light went off. It comes back on 2 weeks later and this time they say it's something different and it will be $2000 to fix. So she and her husband demand the keys drive across the street to Price LeBlanc. Price LeBlanc finds nothing wrong with it, so she trades it in for the only 4-Runner on the lot.

For real. They are absolutely DEAD LAST of the "asian" makes IMO, including Kia and Hyundai.

1) Mazda
2) Toyota
3) Honda
4) Subaru (gotta be lesbian tho)
5/6) Kia Hyundai
7) Nissan

You aren't very old, are you? Wasn't that long ago, dealers were selling below cost just to get out from the interest they were paying. 2008 and 2009 were very bad for new car dealers.

Welcome to a few months ago.

How often do you shop for cars? He might have last looked at a window sticker 10 years ago.

With the money they giving in trades it really doesn’t matter.

I sold a 4 year old Silverado for what I paid for it 4 years ago.

Paid $1000 below sticker for a brand new truck MSRP 62K

Note actually went down $25 / month and I had a brand new truck with way more tech and stuff than the one I traded.

Then saw my old truck online there and it was 6K above my trade. It was sold 2 days later.

This is my experience. I have bought 2 new vehicles in the last 3 months, a Highlander and Tundra. I did get a little below MSRP off of both, but not as much as you would normally be able to negotiate, but I got more for my trades so I figure it evened out overall as to what I would normally expect to pay for a Toyota.
