My daughter is a vet. She does this for people that has used her service before hand. Not so much for people that come out the blue.

Why would you share that?

People fought me and downvoted me for saying the same thing about users posting articles about 11 babys bodies and dudes that raped a 6 month old...

I don't understand the dichotomy...

This smells like bullshite. The animal doesn't know it's about to die. The meds are tranquilizers before what I believe is KCL that stops the heart. Does the animal look around "frantically" when it gets routine injections? No.

How come euthanizing pets is ok but it's not ok for humans? If you have the consent of the person, it's their call in my book.

Man I would never leave my dog alone to suffer. She has brought so much joy to our family that leaving her alone in those final moments because "it's hard" wouldn't even be up for debate.

Sorry to change the subject but with the problem we are seeing with find drugs for lethal injection for those on death row has nobody thought about using what ever it is they use for pets?

I don't know how you couldn't be in the room. If for no other reason than to be there for your dog. You owe it to them to be there at the end.

This. Put on your big girl/big boy pants and at least let your pet's last few moments be in the presence of the human they loved the most.

I doubt it is 90%, but that is a screwed up thing to do. If I was a vet, it would be mandatory for the owner to be present.

OP, find the nearest brick wall. Step about 40 feet back. Run at the wall facefirst as hard as you can.

Don't post depressing shite like this on a Friday morning, twatwaffle.

People need to realize that our prison system is designed around extracting every last taxpayer dime they can. There's a reason they keep them on death row for 20+ years and then pay $10k+ for a lethal injection.

I know some people who can't be there, but I am not one of them. I can't imagine putting my dog down without me holding him. Had to do it back in August and will do so with every one until I die.

I think about and dread the day I have to put mine down ALL the time.

But there's nothing that could stop me from being with my dog when the time comes. Some people suck.
