I just got back from the grocery and cokes were on sale, marked down roughly 33%. I've been seeing sales pretty frequently and this coincides with an article I just saw about soft drink sales being down 12%+ nationally as the SNAP restrictions set in. This is the way.
This also coincides with a recent article about demand for bariatric surgeries being down. Now that is more likely a result of the Ozempic crowd losing weight with pills now instead, but I'm hopeful that between the Ozempics and SNAP restricting the junk food that the next thing we'll see is an easing in the healthcare sector for less heart disease, diabetes, etc. A trend downward in less obesity in this country would go a long way to fix a lot of problems.
This also coincides with a recent article about demand for bariatric surgeries being down. Now that is more likely a result of the Ozempic crowd losing weight with pills now instead, but I'm hopeful that between the Ozempics and SNAP restricting the junk food that the next thing we'll see is an easing in the healthcare sector for less heart disease, diabetes, etc. A trend downward in less obesity in this country would go a long way to fix a lot of problems.

JT Seafood in LC sells beryld crawfish on EBT, they have to be cooled to not count as cooked food. Bet they very beryl place does same, wish this loophole would be changed.
