Sounds like he also ran into one of the local Deliverance natives. I think one of those walking up to me in the woods at night is scarier than a cottonmouth.
Purty Mouth>cottonmouth

That’s all of the little ones that TigrrrDad throws back.
That don’t have an alligator population there. I remember those snakes in numbers during the 60’s and the early 70’s here before we were overrun with gators. We always carried a stick to kill them with.

I remember walking through Bluebonnet Swamp in BR during a drought one time…the swamp was all dried up except for random pools of water right under the wooden walkways and the water was “moving” because each puddle was just a huge ball of snakes. It was terrifying and fascinating and I noped out of there after the third one of those

frick that, Cottonmouth's are straight up assholes and aggressive as hell. I remember being a kid staying on my grandparents river house on the Apalachicola River and going out fishing one afternoon and this fricking snake started literally chasing us in our boat. Anything that damn aggressive deserves napalm.

No worse than a lot of the people you might encounter in Atlanta

Respect Not Fear thru Knowledge...
Bunch of puss,ys.
I've ran these Florida swamps for over 50 years, seen more snakes than a Man should.
Never been bit and never ran from any of them.
Who knew..I though Cajuns were tough.
Must have been that Troy guy playing for the TV...cowards

Troy is a Kardashian compared to real, non-attention seeking Cajun baws that actually live on/make their living in the swamps

We see a lot of wildlife in our backyard, but I have never seen a cottonmouth in the Atlanta metro. Usually, it's just copperheads and the occasional rattlesnake.

What a coincidence, I too have cottonmouth right now.

They usually stay around bodies of water. You shouldn't be seeing any in any wooded or grassy area.

I follow this guy's channel. He's not in downtown Atlanta, lol.

I'd like to know what part of Atlanta that is.
It's definitely not the city.

any little wooded, semi-secluded, maybe a water feature, area remaining is where all remaining widlife gets pushed to when communities are developed, when I come home from work late at night it’s crazy how much wildlife I see on the streets
