But what about JBE's business-friendly tax reductions and tort reform?

Not really a joke. Crooked? yes. Shady? Sure.

We’ve had some really powerful politicians in DC from this state. Powerful governors, senators and mayors,

Now we just have a bunch of fricking clowns. From the slap dick wanna be sheriff clay Higgins to the god damn governor of this state.

How does smoothie king make money? The selling of the franchises? No way those individual stores turn a profit

There is a reason Canes and now SK has moved to Dallas along with hundreds of other fast food franchises. It’s not 100% Louisiana’s fault, but they sure don’t make it hard to leave.

I have to ask...is it really worth 2.5MM in taxpayer's dollars to keep this company in LA for another 5 years? Exactly how good are the jobs that they provide?

I don't think taxpayers should subsidize businesses but at this rate LA doesn't have very many good or poor jobs left. The state is still dying relative to others.

they do (and so do louisiana's), but they don't pay state income tax and still get way more out of their tax dollars than Louisiana

Louisiana can't do anything right

This is why getting excited about growing companies in NOLA or rest of Louisiana is just about pointless. As soon as these companies get big enough they bolt for functioning areas
