I left with my business in BR to NC in 2013. Several business owners, mainly fabrication, have expressed an interest in following. Rough times coming for LA. And it is completely self inflicted.

500k annually scares you guys into believing it's perfectly ok losing a corporate headquarters of 45 years? This is why they will move and likely reboot, rejuvenate and thrive here in Texas. 500k per year is a very low entry fee for an economic gain to a local economy. It's a no brainer.

They probably paid more than that in franchise tax during that time period. Louisiana is one of the last states to still have a franchise tax (tax paid based on your assets, not your income). There was talk of doing away with the franchise tax, but instead the state expanded it.

The Sound at Cypress Waters

The developers of Cypress Waters are swimming in money. They're filling those buildings as fast as they can build them. This development is actually one of the reasons we moved from Coppell to Grapevine. The additional traffic added to the already heavy cut-through traffic is overwhelming that small city.

None the less, cool development....

Metairie.

Don't you know everything bad that happens in Louisiana, is New Orleans'fault? Get with the program, lib.

I think it is funny, that people think what NOLA does has no bearing on Metry.

Smoothie King is awesome if you need a quick meal replacement or post workout drink.

Im probably doing it all wrong but I’m good with a big bottle of water and a banana, granola or some nuts after a workout.

The only people I see by the smoothie king by my house are very large black people. The few times I’ve had a smoothie from there I felt like crap after drinking.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Or a protein shake from home. And there's nothing wrong with smoothie King either
