That’s the part I find fascinating. Our existence represents the tiniest of fractions in the life of the universe. The odds that we are the first technologically advanced civilization (if you could even call us that) in the universe is vanishingly small.

Imagine how many times this has already happened.
Id like to believe that when this does happen. Sure 99.9% of all life will die. But there will be a tiny .1% who narrowly survives. They become disfigured, but also mutated as well. These humanoids have developed superman like powers after earths destruction. And they now go on the search from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy hoping to find more signs of intelligient life out there.
frick me, did I just come up with an entire movie plot in my imagination. It is clearly my bedtime.
