He was always bad.
With that being said the no limit era was just tight on its own so silkk being bad was acceptable.

Silkk was always terrible. Tho only songs worth listening to were due to the others in the song.

Silk is the undisputed, unrivaled, unanimous worst rapper of all time. Even 50 would go Nick Cannon over the shocker. I'll never forget a buddy of mine circa '96,'97 actually bought a silk CD. It was slung out the window immediately upon discovery.

It was company policy not to sell anything with the "Parental Warning" label on it. So record labels started making entire edited/clean albums to get on Walmart shelves.

No Limit was really, really bad. They made a few classic rap songs but compared to Cash Money they were completely talentless.

Ironically for as bad a rapper as he is he isn’t a bad business man. Had lunch with him a couple of months back to discuss a deal he was working on. I figured he was going to be a clown, but actually he was not at all.
