Maybe we should raise the minimum flood elevation 6' and let most of LP and AP go. Otherwise, through FEMA, we will be paying for years to keep fixing all this stuff.

Let's be honest, N.O. East was on its way out before Katrina.
I'll be even more honest. I'd move to NO East right now before AP or LP

The fact of the matter is people build and want 30 year mortgages. Things change in 30 years.

Public policy should reward northward migration to even higher ground.

Otherwise, we are just building to flood more and more and more.

hurricanes don't cause tsunamis. this shite needs to end.

it is just a 40 foot tidal surge.

nobody got hit with a 40 foot wave.

Let's go ahead and abolish all forms of government assistance while we are at it. Statistics say we are only perpetuating the demographic by supporting it. Go ahead and raise bfe on LP 6', and do away with food stamps and government housing.

If you don't agree with me hoss, go ahead and frick yourself with an aids pecker.

A lot more. Actually, it's not even close, but one was isolated, the other was widespread. Not really an apples to apples comparison.

Of course, but learn from this event and build smarter.

It probably won't happen again in our lifetime... but it might.

We are not thinking about next hunting season and your 4-wheeler hoss.

This is real life intellectual policy issue that extends beyond what you can print on a bumper sticker.
