Some people reasonably hold the opinion that those who perseverate on delusional right wing conspiracy theories are detached from reality. They should not be allowed to own firearms either, right?

People with ADHD suffer from poor impulse control and low executive functioning. People with anxiety are easily spooked. Those with depression are at higher risk of suicide and may take others with them. Bipolar disorder is also a big risk.

The 2nd amendment allows them, that cannot be infringed upon. However, they should be in asylum so this not allowed access to firearms while seeking help at the facilities.

One of the negatives to consider with that idea is it may stop folks from going to get mental help.. Right or wrong If I knew my guns would have to be registered I would definitely think twice about discussing mental health with my doctor.

Yes, I started the thread to hear intelligent peoples' thoughts.
I think most of us agree that trans are mentally ill, but not all of them are extremely mentally ill to the point of losing rights, even 2A rights.

If there is any amendment whose language is the opposite of "cut and dried" (and it's DRIED, not dry), that would be the 2nd amendment.
And 2 year olds can't bear arms, nor can felons, nor can people with certain mental diagnoses.
So in neither sense is that true.

Who really gives a shite? What percentage of crimes, murders, etc are commited by people using firearms they obtained legally?
